RE: 2022 - Tonight's recipe - Small chilli - 17-08-2022 Chicken curry with rice. Probably a balti RE: 2022 - Tonight's recipe - Vinny - 17-08-2022 Fishing today so no 'sitty down meal' I did fry up two gammons steaks (44p for two, yellow sticker buys) and had them in sarnies with me while fishing! RE: 2022 - Tonight's recipe - Veggie - 17-08-2022 B - Stewed apple & blackberries L. Sourdough toast and jam Packet of cheap crisps (10p) not very nice ones either. Stirfried veggies - courgettes, sugarsnap and mushrooms in Tamarind sauce Total 10p - should have saved my money! RE: 2022 - Tonight's recipe - SarrissUK - 17-08-2022 Risotto with leftover chicken, beans and courgette from the garden! RE: 2022 - Tonight's recipe - Small chilli - 18-08-2022 Tonight will be steak, chips, peas, Onion rings, ( mushrooms & tomato for him ). Possibly a pepper sauce. Followed by brownies. As it’s Bobs birthday, I should probably put a bit of effort in. RE: 2022 - Tonight's recipe - JJB - 18-08-2022 Happy birthday Bob, you now know what's for your birthday dinner. Sounds scrummy, as do all of SC's creations. Who's going to do the washing up? Who's going to do the washing up?That will be a joint effort between me & the dishwasher RE: 2022 - Tonight's recipe - Vinny - 18-08-2022 I put beef mince with a chopped onion in the slow cooker before walking dog. Came back and added mushrooms, green and red peppers and a couple of carrots. No idea of what of what I will have with the concoction or whether I will add more stuff to it as it's cooking. Two basic things it could be a base for are chillie or spag bol? We shall see! RE: 2022 - Tonight's recipe - Veggie - 18-08-2022 B. Stewed fruit L Sourdough toast and marmite (5p) A few raspberries D. Stir fry Courgettes, sugarsnap peas, DFBs, mushrooms & carrots with a Satay sauce made from the end of a jar of peanut butter and some soy sauce. All free or from the garden. Total cost = 5p. May treat myself to some chocolate later. RE: 2022 - Tonight's recipe - PyreneesPlot - 18-08-2022 We had curry tonight, cooking this for the first, absolutely delicious I just used a random collection of whatever tomatoes were ripe! https://thehappyfoodie.co.uk/recipes/meera-sodhas-tomato-curry/ With dal, naan & fried spicy aubergine slices. |
