Plant supports from recycled plastics

I came across this French Website selling products made from plastics. The big difference it is vegetable based plastics. However, this product caught my eye and it’s made from recycled plastic. Anybody ever used them ?

This might be pushing your expertise a little to far. I didn’t have my camera.
Shrub/ tree with azalea sort of dark green leaves and the flowers are very distinctive. Red Chinese lantern type things hanging down.
Any ideas ?

  Gardening Guilty Secrets!

Today I strimmed and trimmed the grass paths in the veg garden. I have eleven rectangular beds surrounded by grass and eleven grass paths between them.
The rest of the garden is rampant and pretty weedy, as are some of the veg beds between use. But not the paths.
My guilty secret is loving having the paths dead straight, neat, and well clipped.

  Birthday ideas

My wife has enquired today if I could draw up  list of things I'd like for my birthday.
Problem is I'm a simple soul and think myself very lucky that I don't want for much. I was treated to a hori hori and japanese hand hoe a while ago and I love these.
Is there anything (gardening related or not) that you have that is really useful or that you received as a gift having never thought of getting for yourself?

  Perennial Garlic or Onion?
Posted by: Veggie - 31-05-2021, 02:12 PM - Replies (5)

I found this clump of alliums when clearing a bed. To the best of my knowledge they've never flowered but it was obviously an allium from the smell of the leaves - which are flat, like garlic and leeks, not hollow like onions. I actually thought it was an ornamental allium.
When I dug them up, I didn't expect to find these bulbs and they're a reasonable size for eating too - I know because I've just eaten one raw! The bulb was splitting into 2 cloves and tasted like a mild garlic.
The skins have a reddish tint.
If anyone can identify them, I'd be grateful. I'm going to split the clump and replant somewhere random!!
