I was very disappointed when I saw we were having a Vegan Christmas dinner again - but I perked up when I saw we were having a vestal virgin show for afters.

He was Leonard Sachs, now deceased. No top hat, but a beautiful waistcoat and bowtie.
Veggie does this remind you of the 'old time music hall' compère? Of course I only remember the re-enactments on TV, I expect you were there at the real thing.........as Spec would say :P
