JJB, my wife and I have only been together 25 years so we are mere whippersnappers when it comes to partnership. However, the whole point of a life partner is that you support the other in a manner in which they need. It might be physical or emotional support but, together we are stronger.

Your comments about himself show how much you care, and I'm sure he is still around and not at the bottom of that bed. Wink Big Grin
Thanks Mikey, how right you are. He definitely isn't at the bottom of the trench, I need him to erect the GH.
Paul and I are approaching your 39th wedding anniversary, (which we both forget) and have been together 45 years. Time for a change methinksSmile 25 years is a very good run these days of throwaway relationships, be proud.
JJB, you be as soppy as you like. Heart Your OH must be a very goodhearted man .......to have put up with you for all those years.

..........and the same goes for Mrs Mikey - and I say that with confidence as I've met Mr Mikey in the flesh, as they say.

I can however, recommend his Welsh cakes. Big Grin
I did spend months perfecting the recipe V, and I don't make them for just anyone.

You have to be pretty special. Smile
Are you going g to give us the recipe then Mikey?
The recipe is pretty standard available throughout the internet except I have embellished it slightly. It’s all in the prep though and that’s a family secret.

The only bit of advise I’d happily give anyone cooking welsh cakes, use a pan that has seen nothing but cakes and eggs. I’ve eaten other peoples welsh cakes flavoured by sausages, bacon and spaghetti Bol. Welsh cakes deserve their own pan otherwise they can be hideous.
I still have the family cast iron "bakestone" somewhere in the garage.
Never made them, and I fear I'm not likely to. If I bake, I eat, then put on weight. I do so love baking and eating. Life's a beach!
We've put all the bags of stones on the downhill border to encourage the soil to settle.  Some of the flints were the size of melons!
