So we’ve had a roast for our tea. Bob seems to think I always cook to many vegetables to accompany it ! I know nuts, right ? I don’t think 9 varieties is too many, do you ? That includes the roast potatoes  Big Grin .

How many do you have ?
As many and as much are ready so somewhere between one and more than one !!
I always cook two or three veg plus the spuds. Smile Don't think I have ever made a dinner with nine veg? Huh That's not to say that if I had them I wouldn't try to use them. Rolleyes

Veg are good for you! Big Grin
It was one veg tonight - chips.Smile....................and they were from the chip shop!
Otherwise, its what ever needs using - and I don't have the roast so have to fill up on something. Nine might be stretching it a bit though.Smile
Never cook 9 veg. separately, I don't think we have the facilities but sausage, mash and mixed veg could have 9 - the mash is usually potatoes, leek, carrots and pumpkin or squash mixed veg. something like garlic, onions tomatoes, french beans, mushrooms and courgettes so just 2 pans for veg.
My 9 veg were
Carrots, sprouts, runner beans, broccoli, red & geen cabbage, tromboncino, leek & spuds .

Must admit, I do need a bigger steamer  Big Grin .
Our plates aren't big enough for 9, but I expect I've hit 7 in the heady days of summer and using up leftovers, but that is a bit extreme. Like Bob, Paul has occasionally been a bit plaintive about the number of veg on a plate. It also depends on how many you're cooking for. Nine veg for 4 people is fine, it gives guests a choice, for just two, its veg overload. Smile
Hhmmm, last night was a fairly standard friday night dinner veg amount wise. We had steak, wedge potatoes, kale, carrots, stilton stuffed mushrooms, so if you're counting potatoes its 4.
This is extreme chilli growing and it could be you next year, SC. Smile
