I’ve had chickens in the tops of trees, but they kinda flap from branch to branch more than fly.
Is Dora exploring where she shouldn’t?
It was Dora!
She flew onto the top of the old run which is made from 6' high wire netting with a top rail for rigidity. She them flew down and ran/waddled to her new run - looking as you do, when you're desperate to get to the loo. I opened the run door, she rushed in and into the nest box, breathed a huge sigh of relief and laid an egg.
I love the description of how Dora ran and then laid an egg, fantastic!
You realy should write a book Veggie
G& G is my "book" and you are my readers.
In today's' chapter, we'll hear about................??????
Would you believe it?
Its a 4 egg day.
After interrogating the Girls, and none admitting to laying 2 eggs in a day, Inspector Veggie concluded that the guilty party was Mrs Blodwen Brown, the matriarch of the Feathered Mob.
Inspector Veggie reported that she had had her suspicions for a week that something untoward had been taking place, namely, the laying of undersized eggs and the grovelling and obsequious behaviour of Mrs Blodwen Brown, clearly indicating that she was "up to something".
On this occasion, she has been let off with a caution and a handful of corn from the Poor Box.
It wasn't a Fluke in the Flock (careful how you say that) they've laid 4 eggs again today.
Going to need to give some away soon - I have far too many to eat.
You are, of course, joking, Can.
I'm useless at cooking, especially baking. Can't remember the last time I attempted to make a cake - its best forgotten. The closest I'll get to a special meal over Christmas will be beans on toast with a fried egg on top - which, by coincidence is what I've just eaten.
. Christmas has come early here.
P and I were only this morning fantasizing about fried egg sandwiches. Yum. At the end of the week V, you will be egg bound.
Shall I post you a Fried egg. JJB?
I've just sneaked a dozen eggs into next door's porch - I put them in boxes first - they're not rolling around on the floor.
French toast, or eggy bread as we peasants call it. With a sprinkling of cinnamon sugar Mmmmmmmmm
