The first potato I tried was a kestrel which I didn't think I had planted. The next I tried was a vivaldi, then I got 2 rocket. I'll need to check each potato before digging to see what it is.

A bit like my green MT that turned out yellow.
Picked my first cucumber today, Delistar a pale green, thin skinned really crunchy cuc but not a lot of flavour, if cucs have a flavour.
First courgette of the year. First ever courgette from my own garden, first thing harvested from my own garden in 2023.

Very nice SC Smile

Picked my first raspberry and ate it in the garden.
That is a very fine courgette that will taste all the better for being all yours, the first of many. Mine are only half that size.
Nice one SC. Our first first was a radish!

First mangetout and first black beauty courgette.
Picked my first beetroot: 5 roots weighing about 750g. very nice with the salad.
Cherries. A pitiful harvest, but at least I remembered to net them before the blackbirds attacked.
First bowl of red currants yesterday. Will wait a few more days before doing a major pick.
