Plenty of leeks, parsnips, shallots. PSB should be delivered in the next couple of weeks
Just kale here - spotted that it has just started to form flower buds so will have those later.
Carrots, dig your own potatoes, cavolo nero kale and curly kale oh yea a few small onions.
I think we may have over-ordered on pumpkin, but it looks like the hungry gap will be filled. Lots of leeks, lettuces and kale, some with flower buds, still to be used and there are a few cabbages mouldering at the back of the cupboard.
Plenty of sock in the frozen isle - soft fruit, pumpkin, squash, peas, sweetcorn, peppers
potatoes, onions, tomatoes, garlic, jam and chutney on the bottom shelves
parsnips, carrots, leek still with dirt on them.
Shop will be closed until the new one has been built.
There was a smile on the face of the shopkeeper today - "New lines in store" he announced " Not a lot of stock but as fresh as if they'd just been picked".
A couple of beetroot, the first of the season's rhubarb and a couple of spring onions made their way into my basket - and he gave me a free sample of white radish at checkout.
Plenty of spinach, chard, lettuce and some strangely named green leaves on sale- must go back tomorrow for some .
I left the shop smiling too.
Fresh herbs on offer today, along with the usual assorted lettuce leaves and chives.
Rosemary and bay leaves for the roast beef - yummy.
Chard to go with it.
There's an Open for Business sign on the LIttle Shop door so I grabbed my shopping basket and went to see what was on the shelves.
To be honest, it was a little disappointing - most of the shelves were bare with signs saying "Coming Soon".
The good news was that the Courgette season has started and there were strawberries behind the counter for the chosen few. Luckily, I'm one.
