Gherkin picking and pickling has started. I haven't counted individuals, but have 2 jars!
Courgettes = 1 Genovese
Nothing so far. I've checked all my courgettes and they're only showing male flowers, bah!
I have some baby Tasty King cucumbers so it looks like I'll be picking those first. I must remember to water them well, unlike last year.

you wait we'll be overtaking you soon.......or perhaps not, not everyone has 200+ courgette plants. Your freecycle chums are going to get truly fed up with you.

I've never pickled gherkins PP, nor grown them, sounds like I should give it a try next season. I'm off to Google how.

We eat a lot of gherkins - in butties, tartar or green sauces, with salad and just as a nibble with a glass of something.
