The only things I'm picking at the moment are in the wild larder, nettles, ramsons, jack by the hedge, dandelions, hawthorn leaves and flowers (bread and cheese), lime leaves for lettuce, you could also be picking alexanders or cow parsley though I'm less keen. In certain places there is also the St George's mushroom the earliest of the meadow crops. Do these still count?
They only count if you've picked them - after all, I could be picking bananas in certain places (if I had a passport).Wink
So when I'm walking the dog and pick something to snack on as I wander that's ok?

I do go out and pick with a purpose for some things but, mostly it's just snacks as I wander, even garlic I like to nibble raw!!
Its the things you look forward to eating for the first time in the year - that's as far as the "rules" go. Smile
Not much tops those first peas to be fair.
