I've harvested my first ever two (perhaps the only two) turnips, cooked them simply tonight and I've decided they will be on the growing list next year. I sowed them far too thickly then neglected them, so I'm surprised I got any at all. Both Paul and I liked the taste so they'll be a good choice for next season.

Gardening is an excuse not to do housework
