Was out to feed the birds then went into the greenhouse to check the seedlings and do some tidying up, but with a temperature of 3c it was to cold to stay any length of time, now back in the house, so will browse through the site and then read some magazines

Carried on making a brick edging, pricked out and sowed aubergines. Helped MrPP carry sheets of plasterboard around - big sheets, small room, much swearing!

GH minimum last night was 6.9C. Not sure how long these warmish nights will last,
Potted up some early tomato and Afro kale seedlings.
Welcomed the first daffodils to open in the garden. Crocus, Camellias and Catkins already open.
Starting to feel a lot like spring is on its way. Smile

Walked down the canal to Sainsburys, bit of shopping plus getting my steps in.

Sowed some seed and potted on the Sea Beet.

Helped Bob collect firewood ( he cut it , I loaded it ). Started digging a big hole for a 9ft oak tree we acquired. It was full of very hard stuff so I’ll be starting a new hole tomorrow.
Builder that would like to go play in the garden.

I've been getting up-to-date with my list of seeds, to reduce the chance of wastage, and today I discovered I have over 80 packets!!

That's OK, though - I have plans for most of them. Between the raised beds (which I try to keep full all year round), various containers, a wee grow-house on the patio and several trays of baby salad leaves in the conservatory once the weather cools down again, I should make a reasonable dent in 2021!
How much veg and wildlife can I pack into a 6m x 8m garden in suburban Cambridge? Let’s find out!  Smile

Transplanted 10 garlic in danger from new septic tank coming tomorrow. They were in very wet clay but roots seemed OK. And where they went was very muddy, 60 plants in all there. I put a few in another patch in case these didn't make it through the winter as it was very wet when I planted them.
