Good thinking Bren. Cool I just bought some onion gravy granules, dunno whether they would work and I am sure I have a tin of mushy peas in the cupboard. Huh I also have a bag of dried peas but haven't had the nerve to try making mushy peas with them.......yet! Rolleyes

Vinny I cook my mushy peas in the slow cooker and like everything else they do taste much nicer than those out of a tin.

Just made an apple demerara sugar and cinnamon pie. Smile

A new one on me is a ham and egg pie with a twist. I added broccoli, onion and cheese. Very tasty and very filling. Cool

Danny no real recipe I  soak them overnight in boiled water with a couple of tea spoons of bicarb added, next day rinse then put the peas in the slow cooker covering them with water cook on high for 5 hours or there abouts.
