I acquired these Iris last year from the Free site but its the first time I've seen them in flower. They were described as blue and yellow and they are beautiful.
Yesterday I thought I'd give them a treat and weed around them. It was then that I found out how fragile the stems are.  Sad  Never mind, I expect it'll be back next year and I do have some more in another bit of the garden.

The yellow Flag iris and a maroon iris are also flowering now. I really like them.

Very pretty. Again you’re ahead of me  Smile . Mine are still just buds. Looks forward to seeing them. First time they’ve flowered for a couple of year because the voles found them. Now I’ve moved a fish box of them to the new garden. They are doing very well. Fingers crossed they still do well, when I plant them out.
I’d like to see your maroon coloured ones. I really like irises too    Cool . We have loads of the wild yellow flag irises growing all over the island.

The maroon ones (also free) are a bit smaller but in a big clump. They're just coming out - as are the yellow ones. They've self seeded around the dry pond.

Thought we were going to miss the first iris coming out this year as we go on holiday this morning but this fella came out just in time.

More Iris.
Sorry SC, one's mauve, not maroon!
The 3rd picture shows how much taller the blue one is. It also seems to have more than one flower per stem which is a bonus.

I forgot I’d got there as well. should be a mix of blue, yellow and white if they all come out. Can’t see any others at the moment.

Lovely photo, SC.
The problem with iris, I've realised, is the flowers don't last very long. Perfect one day and then a distorted brown blob on a stalk the next.
