Can you identify this flower and a leaf?

The windy weather yesterday shook the flower stem out of the apple tree, undamaged, so I can finally see the flowers!!
The closer you look at the flower, the more types of petal you can see!

Another unknown, tall yellow flower with jagged edge leaves.
Does anyone recognise it please?

I recon it might be doronicum, usually mine is out in spring but there are one or two flowers out now. I'll have a look tomorrow after work.

I think its Silphium perfoliatum https://gobotany.nativeplanttrust.org/sp...rfoliatum/
Now that the flowers are open, I can search for it more easily. It does have cups where the leaves join the stems.

You're likely right V. Doronicums are not that tall.
