My trouser pockets are generally empty, apart from nowadays, a hanky. When I was working, we were allowed to keep nothing at all in pockets,(especially not a hanky!) so it became a habit. When I go out essentials go either in coat pockets or a bum bag thingy.

Always string in mine.
Plus seeds I’ve gathered expecting to remember that they are, which I never do!
A couple of plant labels for plants I lost years ago and have been intending to replace.
A few cat treats/biccies to encourage my boy to come and love me!
