I see some movement on my Echinops seeds - do you use these for cutting Few?

My echinops in the gardrn are huge plants normally - I cut some last year - i think i have lost a few of my plants to the cold. I have tried in the past to grow from seed with mine, but only managed to propagate by cuttings

Yes .. really like them for cutting, though I never seem to get many blooms per plant. (Unlike all the photos in catalogues that show about 50 flowers on each plant!) I wonder if it’s worth giving them the space seeing as I don’t get many flowers.
Have had no success with seeds … mine were cheap bare roots that came in the hanging plastic bags of dry peat from Wilko - and they have done well until this year.
Lost the half dozen I had in the garden, and got just one surviving in a pot that was too sickly to be planted out.
Never tried them from cuttings either.
Well done on getting the seed to germinate.
