Mu Mum always made with jam tarts with leftover pastry but you could fill them with anything you like.

Cook for longer and if the top is going to go a little too brown cover the top with foil, take it off 5mins before removing from the oven so it's crispy.


.... and corned beef pie does not have gravy! Big Grin

Helens favourite meal was potato mash with gravy on.............for some reason she didn't like eating meat much but enjoyed the taste of the gravy. I have heard you can make pies with rice and gravy flavouring? Huh The nearest you would get to a 'gravy pie' is a yorkshire pudding filled with gravy! Big Grin

Vinny you mentioning potato mash and gravy reminded me of  Youngest grandson when he was little he didn't like 'pies' so pulled a face  Rolleyes  at Shepherds/cottage pies  oddly he loved burger meat and mash.  Big Grin
