Becoming a NOMAD - Veggie - 29-03-2021

Vinny is on a diet called OMAD - One Meal A Day.

I'm going on the NOMAD Diet Smile
It stands for....Not One Meal A Day......... but, also a Nomad is someone who wanders from place to place, gathering food, they're Hunter gatherers and have no fixed abode. I feel like that, as I wander around the garden, picking and foraging.
Now that spring has arrived, and there is more to "forage" I'm going to try finding some of my midday meal in the garden and eating it outdoors in my unfixed abode (the garden table).

Anyone else want to be a NOMAD? Smile

Look forward to seeing what’s for your lunch every day. I’ll not be joining you. After yesterday’s biblical rain everything’s probably been washed away  Rolleyes

I'll try and join you, for a day or two at least - the weather forecast looks good, and there's salad in the garden that needs eating up before the flea beetles munch it all to lace doilies!

Nomad's lunch ingredients  - Clock wise from Top row, l-r

Moroccan mint for Mint tea.
Lovage
Day lilies (bit tough raw so I didn't add them to the salad)
Lettuce
?Wild Rocket
Three cornered leeks (Didn't eat all of them - will use rest in tonight's meal)
Spinach
Chard
Purple beetroot leaves
Lamb's lettuce
Unknown oriental leaf thing
Land cress

I admit to putting a dollop of mayonnaise on it to stick it all together as the leaves, once torn, wouldn't stay still outdoors.Wink

My mate used to put treacle (Golden syrup) on his banana sandwich. When asked why, he told me it glued the banana in place and stopped it shooting out the sides when he ate it. Big Grin
BTW, impressive display of rabbit food!

I eat my peas with honey;
I've done it all my life.
It makes the peas taste funny,
But it keeps them on the knife.
