Thank you Scarlet.
Is Latah a decent candidate for an early tomato, I've not grown it before?

Yes, I've grown it a few times. It's bigger than a windowsill tomato but is very compact. Grow it in a flower bucket. I grow on in the greenhouse and then once it's done it's "first flush" I put it outside. Early to ripen and was a first once Big Grin
Notes says it tasted good.

My tomato seedlings, a month since sowing. They live on the windowsill until dusk when they move away from the window into the bedroom. They're turned several times a day to encourage them not to lean to the light.
Once the weather improves, I'll be pricking them out into individual pots. Don't want to do it too early as the windowsill won't be big enough for everything.

The only germination failures have been the 2 F1 varieties but they are 7 & 8 years old. Everything retires from active life eventually. Smile

Here's some of mine.

A mix of tomatoes,  aubergines,  peppers and chillies.  Some sown 1st Jan, but the Vilma tomato was sown on 14th Jan, initially in airing cupboard thereafter no underneath heat but under the light thingy.  Some chilli  and aubergine faiures, some peppers resown.

It all depends whether they survive, no counting chickens here. The problem will be finding room when they get bigger, but there's always the heated prop in the GH.

My little green shoots are over 25mm long, I am keeping them covered and on a warm window sill. I have never grown tomatoes from seed before so I need some help.
How long do I keep them covered ?
When do I know that the need transplanting from the propogator ?
I will do a photo later.

They need more light, Can, although you can pot them on deeper when they're ready. You can see how they're stretching towards the light so turn them around during the day.
Are they on a heated propagator? If so, take them off the heat and don't cover them with a lid.
