Chilli Harvest Day - Can the Man - 29-11-2020 Today I decided would be my chilli harvest, I have left the fruit on the plants as long as u could to ripen. Some are starting to rot on the plant from the water dripping down on them from condensation inside the poly tunnel. Any way here goes the photos. Capsicum Annuum [attachment=1675] Apple Crisp [attachment=1676] Joe Long Cayenne [attachment=1677] Killian [attachment=1678] Yellow Bumpy [attachment=1679] Hungarian Hot Wax and Apricot [attachment=1680] Lemonella [attachment=1681] Lemonella in the air fryer for drying at 80’C [attachment=1682] The others I am drying in the oven at 80’C. Looking forward to experimenting with blends of chillies to form different chilli powder mixes RE: Chilli Harvest Day - Small chilli - 29-11-2020 Nice selection. Your 2 yellow varieties look interesting. I’d be interested to know what you think of those in terms of heat, flavour and productivity. I really should finish harvesting mine. Need to make more space in the freezer first. RE: Chilli Harvest Day - Can the Man - 29-11-2020 SC I have used the Lemonella and the flavour and heat is lovely, I find 3 full sized ones chopped with seeds in a chilli con carne are just nice. I’m really hoping to see what the dried powder will be like as they say it has a citrus flavour off it. |
