Fascinating find!
I took a local Naturalist, Mary Gillham https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mary_Gillham out to Flat Holm island years ago. Nothing to do with her age, but It was impossible for Mary to walk fast as she spent all her time looking at the ground, to see what she could find. She loved pellets! She'd pick them up and stash them in a matchbox in her pocket, explaining, as she did so - that's the case of a summat beetle or the wing/bone of a ???? She'd take them home and analyse the contents to find out what lived locally.
Amazing lady, sadly no longer with us.

What a fascinating lady. I offered pull the pellets apart to see what the owls been eating. But not with nearly as much knowledge as Mary Gillham
