Flower ID? (?Aster) - Mark_Riga - 28-10-2020 On a visit to Pemberley (Lyme Park) today not much was flowering but this caught my eye. Anyone know what it is? [attachment=1521] RE: Flower ID? - Scarlet - 28-10-2020 Aster- Michaelmas daisy? I have purple and white but they are taller than hay. Once you hav it it can overtake. RE: Flower ID? - Mark_Riga - 28-10-2020 These were quite compact plants, 15 to 20" but probably are a variety of Aster. The right time of year and flower. The ones we have are a lot taller and do spread quickly. RE: Flower ID? - Veggie - 28-10-2020 I hadn't realised how many different Asters there are. Just a few at Farmyard Nurseries. https://www.farmyardnurseries.co.uk/shop/search.aspx?Mode=1&Query=aster RE: Flower ID? - toomanytommytoes - 29-10-2020 (28-10-2020, 11:27 PM)Veggie Wrote: I hadn't realised how many different Asters there are. RE: Flower ID? - Veggie - 30-10-2020 Farmyard Nurseries is/was a lovely place to visit if ever you're down in West Wales. They used to have a plant stall in Carmarthen Market which was always very tempting!! |
