Today's a Special Day - Veggie - 10-02-2023

Have you noticed how every day seems to be a Special Day of some sort? It can mark an Anniversary, a Saint, an Animal, an Event or even, like today, a Food. I thought it would be nice to get in the spirit of these Special Days and do something appropriate to mark them.  Cool

Today, 10th February is World Pulses Day. https://www.un.org/en/observances/world-pulses-day
I'll celebrate by cooking some beans to eat tonight.

Already there, before you, beany stew already in the slow cooker. Although I had no idea it was Pulses day. I wonder what other day today is, apart from Friday and Danny's birthday, that is.
(Perhaps I should look at your link)

I'd stick to eating beans, if I were you, Jen.
In my Piano exams, I had to sing a few notes as well as play, and I always lost marks for my singing. It hasn't improved since I was 12, either. Big Grin

Well I had some of pulses mates for lunch, cereal! Smile Indian flavoured wheat to be exact and very flaoursome it was too!

I celebrated World Pulse day twice today - Lentils in the lunchtime soup and Chickpeas in the evening stir-fry.
Haven't found a Teddy but hummed a bit, possibly in Welsh. Big Grin

The Americans seem to love their special 'days'. Today is Latte day, guitar day, make a friend day and women and girls in science day. If you went busking with your guitar outside a female tech college, taking your Costa with you, you'd be sorted Big Grin
