Clumping, easy perennials - Veggie - 04-11-2022

Suggestions wanted for no messing about perennials that will act as ground cover and need minimal weeding.  Something like perennial geraniums or Michaelmas daisies.
Bonus points for long flowering, bee-friendly, non dead-heading, attractive flowers.
I want to fill up odd spaces with undemanding flowers that are easy to grow. Don't mention montbretia or vinca please.

Lamb's ears, perennial rudbeckia, geranium Rozanne (still flowering now), yarrow, creeping thyme, oregano, heleniums, nepeta, teucrium hircanicum, betony, geranium phaeum.

Not a perennial but what about none trailing nasturtium. They will just self seed so you don’t need to do anything to them unless you’re hungry.

Perennials primrose, everything TMTT said

Another vote for nasturtiums and other easy self-seeders. My nasturtium patches are still looking great. I also have a lovely calendula patch in my front garden (not planted by me) that started flowering before anything else (I think as far back as late January/early February) and are still flowering now. Definitely planning to grow lots more calendula clumps in future as they are such cheery flowers, and edible to boot!

Phacelia is another annual which happily self seeds and you can get multiple sowings in a year since it's so quick from seed to flower. One of the best flowers for bees out there I think.

Salvia Hot lips! I bought two tiny plants a year ago, and they've grown into large plants and have non stop flowered since then. I'm going to have to move them as they've overshadowed several other plants already.
