RE: Most improved plot, garden - any size. - Scarlet - 27-09-2022 So this is my new flower plot... last summer I had 3 dahlias beds, a row of gooseberries, some space for beans and a few other bits of veg. Started in Autumn, dug up the rhubarb ( left one elsewhere) took out the gooseberries On the opposite side to the dahlias and my big greenhouse it was just grass - I started digging and marking out beds around Christmas. I didn't have enough compost and didn't want to spend a fortune, so I've used card for paths, some beds I've planted through weed fabric to keep the weeds down while I've tackled another bed. It may look a mess to some but it's produced on average 50 bunches of flowers a week since March, and Ive enjoyed every single minute of it.
