Could also mean putting off planting because of the many jobs needing to be done beforehand, resulting in plants suffering from neglect. Always happens to me Smile I have some 2ft toms in 2" pots, poor things are never going to recover.

Non-gardeners just don't understand us, my pals often wonder what I do in the garden all day. Some silly beggar (nextdoor) said last week 'you must be finished in the garden then?' This from a man with a third of an acre! Smile
