Forb - JJB - 23-01-2022 As they say, every day's a school day. A new word for me Forb I'm sure you horticulturists will know the word, but it was new to me today RE: Forb - Scarlet - 23-01-2022 Never heard of it! RE: Forb - JJB - 23-01-2022 Wiki says A forb or phorb is a herbaceous flowering plant that is not a graminoid (grass, sedge, or rush). The term is used in biology and in vegetation ecology, especially in relation to grasslands and understory. Typically these are dicots without woody stems. I found it on a site dedicated to strawberry growing. I'm still trying to figure out what a didcot is apart from being a station or train preservation centre RE: Forb - Veggie - 23-01-2022 This train now calling at Dicot, Reading and Paddington. Definitely not Dicot. Lots more strange words to puzzle you here https://biologydictionary.net/dicot/ |
