Hooray, I've finally sown something after months of reading what everyone else is up to. From my "Psychedelic Salad" box, I've sown lettuce and spring onion Apache. The lettuce is red, I think, but can't remember the name.

I've sown some more Micro Cherry for a friend that's about to move into her own house again after years of renting, and a friend that's going through a tough time at the moment - a couple of plants for each Smile

I've also sown sand leeks - half of them outside in the 'old pond' and half in a tray on the heater.

And a load of Shishito peppers as they have such good reviews from a couple of online bloggers that I follow. I've sown them in the massive trays that I got second hand last year:
https://www.patchseedpotatoes.co.uk/product/seed-trays/
My thinking is, if I sow peppers, who will be potted up in compost later on in life, rather than planted out in the garden, the compost will be used either now or later, so I might as well save me the time to pot them up immediately by putting them in the very large seed trays. I have plenty of space (she says!! haha) in the conservatory for more lol

That was all I could manage today. Hopefully something else tomorrow Smile

Sowed some tomatoes:
2 x Sungold - orange cherry (using up my last seeds)
1 x Ciliegia Cerise - red small cherry bush
1 x Goldkrone - yellow cherry vine
1 x Golden Sunrise - yellow cherry vine
1 x Blush - elongated cherry striped vine
1 x Auntie Madge's - red small plum vine
1 x Jen's Tangerine - orange large cherry vine

I've grown Sungold several times, but the rest are new to me so I'm excited to see how they perform.

Another day of sowing seeds! I'm late for tomatoes and chillies but I'll give them a try anyway.

Tomatoes: Gardeners delight, Cuor di Blue, Dances with Smurfs and Roma
Chillies/peppers: Beaver dam, Razzmatazz, Lemon drop and Mini belle red
Parsley, dill, basil, rocket, white scabious, two types of French marigold, Gerbera

More prepped compost awaiting more seeds hopefully this weekend. Unfortunately have gnats in the compost, which I had a very difficult time getting out of my houseplants last year. I've applied the sticky traps so they hopefully can't escape but my shiny new heated propagator may have to wait until a time of better compost. I'll shift anything buggy out to the GH and remind myself I hated the gnats more than I want the tomatoes.

I sowed more of some tomatoes that I've sowed previously. Some seedlings died after getting transplanted and moved into the conservatory. I think the heat mat is a bit too hot, and it's too much of a shock for them maybe.

I've turned down the heat mat, re-sowed the seedlings that died in the conservatory - it's warm enough in there for germination now I think.

I've sowed:
Cauliflower - All year round
Brussel sprouts - Evesham Special
Calabrese
Cape Gooseberry
Cauliflower - Romanesco Natalino
Celery - Peppermint Stick
Huauzontle Aztec Broccoli

I sowed more clary (all three separate colours) but put them in the g’house this time rather than in the propagator. Clary always germinates well and then keels over for me. I’ve tried taking them out of the prop immediately on germination and also leaving them in the prop to no avail. No idea what the secret is in keeping them going.
Also sowed a third lot of cleomes, so hoping for success this time.
Also Billy Buttons - first lot didn’t come up at all, but Scarlet said hers showed very quickly.
I’ve got various new packets of seeds to try, but worrying about sowing them too soon given my lack of success so far.
If this continues, my annual patch is going to be daucus, sweet peas, helichrysum and cornflowers only!!

Sowed more tomatoes:
Chadwick Cherry - red cherry vine
Brad's Atomic Grape - multicoloured elongated cherry vine
Matt's Hornet - striped elongated cherry vine
Orange Jazz - orange large vine
Northern Lights - orange large vine

All new ones for me so I'm very excited to try them!

Flower sowing today - coreopsis, rudbekia, sunflowers, French marigold (called rose d'inde here!) and pot marigold.

I sowed some yellow cherry  tomato seeds and some red cherry tomato seeds from my own plants grown last year. I have no idea of variety, but as I don't usually grow F1 varieties I should be alright. Rolleyes
I am using punnets from various food items for sowing in. This was from a microwave curry and rice with two seperate containers in one. I don't put holes in as it saves on watering and the seedlings are only in there until they germinate. Popped tray into heated propagator, without lid. Smile
