Pulled up tagetes, they're the first of the bedding to succumb to autumn. Weeded. Netted pak choi against pigeons. Debated whether a layer of fleece would allow the outdoor strawberries to ripen in this balmy weather. It seems so sad that some of them are flowering but will only be blasted by frost when the weather returns to normal.

Today is the day that the silver birch in the front garden is going to have a serious trim. In the strong winds last week it was wanging around quite dangerously threatening the various cables coming to the house. It's quite tall and near the road and not sturdy enough to climb in the canopy safely so a cherry picker is needed. I may even convince someone to take me up aloft to get a birds eye view.
I have a feeling this could end in cosmetic disaster.

Today I nearly phoned in sick for Boot Camp but decided to do it followed by a Barre session. I was glad I didn't  let aches and pains stop me from doing it, and felt invigorted afterwards Cool Did a ittle bit of shopping then decided to try a workout with my nwely aquired 12Kg kettle bell which has been sitting as an ornament since the day I struggled home with it. Blush I did a 10 minute youtube workout with it and was surprised I was less out of breath than the guy who was teaching it! Big Grin

Nice bit of dinner afterwards and I am now settling down to watch the match later.

 C'mon the Toon! Rolleyes

Oh nice job JJB! That looks really good! I bet you enjoyed that little trip up in the air too!

That’s a really nice job on the silver birch. Those boys have done a cracking job. I’ve seen some real horrors (on fb , because Bobs on lots of those sorts of groups) .

Today I’ve saved seeds and started seed juggling. Not really surprising my list was pretty much up to date as I didn’t actually grow much this year. Still got flower seeds to sort.
I did a veggie ( official term  Big Grin ) and mixed lots of tomato seeds together. Because I’ve just got so many varieties, I’ll never actually get to sow them all in the tunnel.  I’ll sow all of them next year .

Pulled up my french beans, dug a trench and filled it with Dalek compost. Raked up and bagged leaves.

^^^ This Veggie would have kept the bush and the cordon toms separate - otherwise, well done. You're learning. [Image: biggrin.png]

Mostly weeding, clearing and raking in Strip 3 until rain forced me to retreat indoors.

Finished my seed juggling. Flower seeds now sorted into 3 categories/ boxes. Annual, perennial & cutting.
Made up 10 little seed packets to go in cards next month. Homemade packets & self saved seeds. Then went building .

Raked up leaves from the copper beech for P to mow into mulch. Then bagged up the chopped leaves for adding to compost.
Every little nook and cranny seems to have leaves in it. I tell the tree she's a hussy, dropping her drawers like that but she doesn't listen. I do thank her for the compost too, just to keep her happy. The depressing bit is she's still got 75% left to drop.
