Found woodworm (again) in the shed. I had to clear it out for P to get at the floor, no mean feat, I can tell you! Off to shops to get more tongue and groove. Of course they don't do the width that P wants so we have to compromise. Buy some more woodworm killer too. P started on cutting out old boards but they don't want to come out from under the edges of the walls and the blade on the tool is blunt. It seems floorboards were nailed down before the walls were added so the boards won't pull out when cut. It would be more convenient (not cheaper though) to replace the shed but we built a lean to on the back of the shed to house trailer and stuff, so dismantling the shed is not really an option, the lean-to would fall down. About par for the course this week, every bladdy thing has gone wrong, from computer software to banking to shed Sad now P' looking for replacement blade but they're discontinued and the equivalents have really poor reviews SNAFU. Rant over.

For the second day I spent it getting chain saw wood chip out of the gravel before it turns to compost the even more weeds! A large tree came down recently and the trunk had to be cut up on the gravel. There was no way it could be moved. Done now, rake suck out the wood chip with a leaf sucker, repeat and repeat again!

As planned, weather men got it right for a change so after a long walk with Kato I set to on my cementing project on my drive Smile . A bit achy with bending down all the time but I am sure a session of Barre fit followed by Boxing and core work later will sort that out. Rolleyes
Plans for tomorrow are to drop back seats in my car and start transporting scrounged wood from allotment to make sides for shed/workshop. Cool

Its Leaves day so I sowed Cut and come again leaves and spinach in guttering and dug up a clump of self seeded lettuce from the Big Bed and replanted them in GH1, some in a pot beside some newly sown (yesterday) mangetout.
A bit more work on the South Strip.

Spent the afternoon over at Hardwick Hall after seeing how bad their courgettes have been frosted I removed my remaining 3 small courgettes.

I cut a third of the lawn today that was REALLY long by now, and went over the other two thirds again. First time in ages I've had time in the garden after work Smile

Did a bit of pricking out. Pulled up the pointless beetroot. Ripped out all the big weeds the old onion & garlic bed. Needs going over with a little more care before I plant out my spring greens.

It’s been an apple day here, I’ve juiced some then others have been peeled cored, sliced part cooked and frozen.

Spent the afternoon at the far end of the South Strip - the South East corner - removing brambles & nettles, cutting back the hazels in the hedge and freeing up the Joan J raspberries so that I can pick them more easily.
Pulled up and composted most of the courgette plants, just one left now, still flowering.
Rain stopped play.
