Spotty sweet peppers - Mark_Riga - 02-10-2021 I've had a good crop of sweet peppers this year but quite a few have had spots on that go right through the flesh. Some it is just a few spots but on others there is quite a lot making them almost unusable (except in curries may be ). I've had a good look round but can't find any pictures of similar anywhere. I have had it in previous years. Anyone any ideas? My thoughts are a fungus of some sort, may be tomato leaf mould which has just appeared on some of my tomato plants. RE: Spotty sweet peppers - Admin - 02-10-2021 Never seen that before.....I would guess it's bacterial RE: Spotty sweet peppers - toomanytommytoes - 02-10-2021 Pepper stip? https://edis.ifas.ufl.edu/publication/PP363 https://sites.udel.edu/weeklycropupdate/?p=4780 RE: Spotty sweet peppers - Small chilli - 02-10-2021 Never seen anything like that before. Definitely looks like this. calcium deficiency looks to be a possible factor. I bought a big bag of lime a fair few years ago that I have never used. I'll put a bit in the planting holes next year and see if it still occurs. |
