I am going with gaffe and agree with the fishing theme, a gaffe is a mistake, where as a gaff is used in fishing

Maybe we should ignore Gaffe as its not the answer according to the Puzzle Block - but they're wrong on this one!
Try again..............

There's an argument to be made for lure, but that argument may be even odder than the question!

It's sag I believe, all the rest are fishing terms but gaffe is definitely suspect.

RE: Puzzle a Day! - Veggie - 09-11-2021

"Sag" is correct I think they made a gaffe with "Gaffe".................I typed Giraffe first. Big Grin

New puzzle!

If you write ten letters and place them in ten envelopes at random, how many letters, on average, would end up in the right envelopes?

RE: Puzzle a Day! - JJB - 11-11-2021

Haven't got a clue without goggling, that's probability and I never could fathom probability at school. I'm going to cheat and web search it and leave The Boss, Mark or Pros to shine.

All of them if the letters were generic? Big Grin
