Sorry, Vinny, I'm going to disagree with you about putting them in water until you can plant them as this will trigger them into growth prematurely.
Give them a good soak a couple of hours before you plant, otherwise keep them cool and in their dormant state.

If he is planting them in a couple of days I would have thought their root tips would  die and shrivel if left.? I can't imagine much root growth in a couple of days anyway, but i can imagine the plants roots re-absorbing a wee  a bit of water Tongue  Big Grin
