Freezing chard - JJB - 09-07-2021 Anyone bother to freeze chard? Do you have to blanch first? RE: Freezing chard - Small chilli - 09-07-2021 I’ve never done it. But I guess blanch first. When I played at being a chef. We used to get bags of frozen spinach. It was in pre chopped little blocks. I guess you could do the same with chard. RE: Freezing chard - JJB - 09-07-2021 I know the things you mean, spinach bricks. I suppose I could blanch and stuff into spread boxes and then micro when I wanted it RE: Freezing chard - Bren - 09-07-2021 I freeze chard and spinach sometimes I blanch but mostly I don't bother especially as its mostly used in curries and soups. |
