Winter Survivors - Farendwoman - 04-07-2021 It must have been a very mild winter. These nemesis have come through the winter beautifully. And even self sown a few little ones in random pots. The scent is amazing too. Anyone else had “strange survivors”? No RE: Winter Survivors - mcdood - 04-07-2021 They look very nice. Winter was actually harder for us here than it had been for a couple of years. I lost most of my pelargoniums that had survived 2 or 3 previous winters. Farendwoman - Farendwoman - 04-07-2021 In fact, everything in this sheltered corner has survived the winter. Several pelargoniums (including one of my favourite P Graveolens) plus a couple of bedding verbena and snapdragons. One bit of my plot that doesn’t need any attention for now. RE: Winter Survivors - mcdood - 04-07-2021 You're just rubbing it in now RE: Winter Survivors - Farendwoman - 04-07-2021 Tee hee!! RE: Winter Survivors - Vinny - 04-07-2021 I think we had a particularily hard winter. My Lavatera bush suffered,Fatsia suffered but amazingly my grapevine cutting grown in a MFB survived being frozen solid for days on end. RE: Winter Survivors - Veggie - 04-07-2021 I lost a couple of sage bushes and a rosemary - so I'm blaming that on the weather, even though we had very little hard stuff. The dahlias in pots outside are about to flower. |
