Phew, what a relief. I was worried they'd packed their bags and left home.

I've started digging my new pond!

Well, I've put some pegs in to mark the level. Not much actual digging as yet. But it's a start!

It will be half shaded by the old apple tree, which is not ideal. But I dare say the wildlife will be able to cope.

I did eventually finish digging that pond. Now that spring is here it's starting to settle in. Lots more planting to come, though.

Looks beautiful. I bet the Boys go paddling when you're not looking. ;d

Don't you just love it when a plan comes together. It's a very fine pond.

Well, Woody is there to make sure they don't get into any trouble.

I've reclaimed a bit more ground from the bluebells and buttercups and planted out some sweet peas and some cabbages.

Colin complained that the cabbage net blocked his view, so I let him go and crouch next to his new friend Woody.

Before the rain came again today I planted up a runner bean teepee. I've cleared away the bottom of the hedge behind, because there was a wasp nest in there last year keeping me away from picking anything. Should be OK now!
