RE: Freecycle and similar websites - Veggie - 15-12-2023

I've been having a declutter day. OUT tonight or tomorrow will be:-
9 oval steak plates
5 paperbacks
2 packs of curtain rings
1 retractable washing line
1 Spiky thing for flower arranging
1 travel alarm clock
and a "Ring for Prosecco" bell.

No partridge in a pear tree!

IN came 4 packs of bread rolls, 3 x Seafood sticks and some vanilla crown pastries.
OUT went almost all of the clutter in the previous post.

IN came a bag of dry dog food and 2 orchids, both with new flower stems in bud. I'm sure I've said it before but I'll say it again, just in case, I don't understand why people get rid of orchid plants when they have so much more to give. They may not be the prettiest plants when all they have are leaves but lots of houseplants are grown for foliage alone. Some folk are weird - and I should know. Big Grin

Orchids were my wifes favourites. When she was alive nearly every window sill had numerous orchids on it, and only about half of them  had flowers.

Do you still have some orchids, Vinny?

Just one now Veggie as I don't pamper them like she did! Blush

RE: Freecycle and similar websites - Veggie - 18-12-2023

I've arranged an OUT for tomorrow - an old mobile phone. I never got the hang of it (ask Scarlet Big Grin).
My brother was showing me some photos on his phone and I told him that the camera on mine was useless. Every photo I'd taken was blurry and you couldn't make out anything.........so I showed him. He couldn't stop laughing, not even enough to explain why. Eventually, between gasps and wheezes he told me that I had the wrong case for the phone and the cover was over the lens. Every photo I'd taken was of the inside of the phone case!
My eyes are watering now, just thinking about it. Big Grin

OUT went the mobile phone and IN came 3 more pairs of leather gardening gloves, the same as I was given a couple of weeks ago. I'll give these to my brother.
