Shame I haven't got a pavement Smile

RE: Freecycle and similar websites - Veggie - 08-10-2021

That happens here, a bit, especially during lockdown when people couldn't go to the shops for toys, books etc.
I'd like to have a designated day - maybe every Saturday- when everyone put their unwanted stuff outside and others could take whatever they wanted. I'd be out prowling the streets all day. Big Grin

I don't have a pavement either - stuff goes at the end of the drive or on the grass verge outside, or even on the hedge!!

No more excuses, Jen.Tongue

Not really excuses, the pavement and grass verge is on the other side of the road from our house, with  walking and parking  on both because mum's and kiddies park and walk to the school up the road. Not ideal for putting all my junk on. I have toyed with the idea of putting a book box out but possibly causing obstruction or lure for bad behaviour might not be a good idea.  No prize for guessing  who would be the one to forget the books when the rain started? ^^^ Very neat and tidy, JJB. Smile
............and a pavement on the other side of the road!! How posh.Smile No pavement here on either side of the road. Tongue

Anyway, back to today.......I've picked up a huge IKEA underbed storage tray- now in the free GH on the free dining table! The tray is deep enough to grow seedlings under a bubblewrap "lid" for insulation over winter.

EDIT I also picked up a laptop rucksack thing from the same lady. It has lots of pockets and I've just found a surprising item in one!!
I won't make you guess as its a bit of a stretch of anyone's imagination. Its a Batman Lego Key ring and his feet are a torch when you press his chest. (found that out by accident!!)

Picked up a pine, 4 drawer, bedside cupboard that suits my bedroom better than an old white unit - so that's been relegated to another room. Gave away some books at the gate and met a beautiful golden cocker spaniel that had come from a rescue this week. One of the many pets bought during lockdown and now unwanted. At least he has a good home now.

You'd think that putting 4 drawers into a cupboard would be easy - they all looked identical - but it wasn't. Whichever slot I put the drawers in, there was always one that stuck out further than the rest. It was like one of the Daily puzzles!
Eventually, I managed to fit the right drawers into the right slot.............and my reward? There were 2 small coins wedged into the joints of one drawer that I prised out. Unfortunately, they weren't gold sovereigns but a 1p and a Dime!!

There was a lot more kitchen then we realised. It’ll do very nicely. It’ll get split between kitchen, utility & sheds.
