RE: Sloping gardens - Scarlet - 18-05-2021 I maybe have missed lots of posts on the small kitchen but is taking out the washing machine and making a utility area somewhere an option? And my Mum had a half size dishwasher that was plenty bigger enough for 2. Beautiful house. Probably not, but you never know! RE: Sloping gardens - Proserpina - 18-05-2021 This is very stressful. I chased the new national estate agent (who apparently don't work for the developer, but manage sales for a lot of different developers) and was able to discuss the necessary details with them this morning (after the timeframe when they said they were going to call me passed and I got too fed up of waiting). It was all sounding relatively promising as I got the impression they didn't have any other offers on the table. They said they would call the vendor to put the offer to them and then get back to me this afternoon, hopefully with a view to getting things moving forward. They were also going to email me various details so I had them ready to go. They even called me back a few minutes later to confirm my email address. I started to feel vaguely hopeful! And then nothing. Nothing at all. The afternoon came and went. And now I feel sick to my stomach and incredibly stressed. Is this a strategy to try and squeeze a bit more money out of me tomorrow? Make me sweat a bit? Goodness knows. But the uncertainty is really very unpleasant. If they are going to say no, I'd rather they just said no now so that I can put the house out of my head and move on. I think I made a very fair offer for the work the house needs and the area that it's in/recent sales nearby. Going any higher would put it into a similar price bracket to the houses I've seen in much nicer areas, and that would be ridiculous. I really hope they call me back tomorrow morning! RE: Sloping gardens - Veggie - 18-05-2021 Ring them tomorrow - keep chasing. Maybe they couldn't contact the vendorbut doesn't excuse them not emailing the info. RE: Sloping gardens - JJB - 19-05-2021 I'm with Veggie here Pros, keep on at them, there is nothing to be gained sitting and waiting for other people to do their jobs properly, you have to be proactive and be a nuisance, or at least politely assertive, especially to estate agents.
