Loved the addition of the sprouts(01-12-2020, 04:47 PM)Broadway Wrote:(01-12-2020, 03:57 PM)JJB Wrote: Chicken and bean enchiladas tonight with the first ever attempt at using my own dried and rehydrated beans. The beans are currently boiling away in the pressure cooker so they'll be ready for the wraps tonight. They aren't kidney beans though, they're coco a blanc summat, and I'm doing them early enough that I can use a tin if they're a disaster. This might be the start of something new to me - cooking with my own saved beans.Good luck JJB, photo please RE: Tonight’s recipe - JJB - 01-12-2020 Sprouts were all I had, salad and I don't mix in winter. Beans and sprouts, it might be an eventful evening RE: Tonight’s recipe - Mark_Riga - 01-12-2020 (29-11-2020, 10:11 AM)Bren Wrote:(10-11-2020, 09:52 AM)Bren Wrote: Veggie cottage pie tonight based on this recipe from Tesco. This is a bit like a recipe of 2 Sheds I used in the harvest festival only the colours looked pretty drab with my camera (basic phone cost £17 five years ago). There was a whole post of bean recipes by 2 Sheds but they disappeared when the old site was done over. I didn't make a note of what exactly she suggested but I use 200g beans and 150g lentils for about 8 portions with about 2lb of potatoes for the top. Tomatoes, garlic and onions are my base for a lot of things. I don't generally like marmite but it is an essential ingredient. https://gardenandgossip.org/showthread.php?tid=416&pid=8145#pid8145 It didn't get any votes, but then nobody tasted it (except me and my wife). RE: Tonight’s recipe - Broadway - 02-12-2020 Leftover chicken & chorizo rice with onions and trusty side salad. RE: Tonight’s recipe - Small chilli - 02-12-2020 Same as last night because it didn’t happen last night. The ingredients didn’t arrive until nearly 8pm (click & collect shopping order , first one of the year! It was very exciting ) . Last night turned into bacon butty for me & nachos for him. RE: Tonight’s recipe - Bren - 02-12-2020 Veggie and bean soup today along with a slice or 2 of sourdough. RE: Tonight’s recipe - Can the Man - 02-12-2020 Grilled marinated lamb chops steamed potatoes and baked beans. The lamb chops were marinated in a shawarma rub, delicious RE: Tonight’s recipe - Broadway - 03-12-2020 Pizza chips and trusty side salad RE: Tonight’s recipe - JJB - 03-12-2020 Left over roast pork, undecided whether it will be 'chinesey' with veg stir fry or sliced and traditional with veg. RE: Tonight’s recipe - Small chilli - 03-12-2020 Homemade pizza with a choice of toppings, garlic & herb wedges, jalapeño poppers & salad. Followed by banoffee pie. |
