I can't do without gardeners delight either - I just want to sow reliables....but also a red normal sized Tom and a something I haven't tried before or one I've forgotten about.
I've purple Ukrainian here - I seem to remember that did well?

Can anyone recommend a nice compact bush cherry tomato for growing in a slightly more shallow than ideal container on a narrow windowsill? I think the upturned dome from a pack of (very disappointing and not worth the calories) profiteroles might just work. Even better if you can recommend one where you have a few seeds going spare that I might be able to send you a stamped addressed envelope for! Nothing that needs starting too early, as my propagator is in storage, though I may be able to cobble something together with some hot water bottles and tin foil...
I could probably grow something up a single string attached to my curtain rail if any of you only have suggestions that would need a little bit of height.

Pinocchio Orange is the smallest of the 7 varieties of micro dwarf I've grown. I've seen photos of micro dwarves being grown quite successfully in 500 ml yoghurt pots.

It's years since I grew tomatoes successfully (I don't count last year, as it was all last-minute with little choice of variety), so I'm still experimenting. If I had to choose just one, it would probably have to be a really tasty cherry tomato - I've heard good things about Black Cherry, which I am growing this year, but I guess we'll see...
I also have high hopes for Costoluto di Parma, as I do like a good slicing tomato for salads and sandwiches. And San Marzano is a must-have for canning/freezing.
So many great varieties, so little space...

Still looking for the variety I can't do without. Black cherry in a good year is probably still my favourite cherry, but I now prefer larger tomatoes. Most of the varieties I'm growing this year are new so hopefully there's a gem or two in there.

My grow list, I've sowed : and there was I intending to reduce the number of varieties I was growing, that didn't happen! And I'm still looking at seed catalogues for tomato seed for next year's list
