RE: Freecycle and similar websites - JJB - 17-03-2023 Not sure I'd want one of those for even 15p. Each to his own I suppose RE: Freecycle and similar websites - Veggie - 17-03-2023 How about 10p, JJB? It would be hopeless for storing coffee. The head bit is a really tight fit on the body - there's no rubber seal, just a grating of earthenware on earthenware. I expect a charity shop will be the lucky recipient. There's one for sale at £10 on fleabay https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/374567452506 RE: Freecycle and similar websites - Scarlet - 17-03-2023 (17-03-2023, 09:54 AM)JJB Wrote:I think people try their luck and are left living amongst a ton of rubbish. I love a secondhand vase - often pop in a local "junk" shop and also love little villages with antique and collectibles. I pick up some lovely items and then enjoy looking at the outrageous prices people ask for them on ebay and marketplace - they never sell and are often up for months, then are drastically reduced when they realise how much they are really going for.(17-03-2023, 12:54 AM)Veggie Wrote: How about 10p, JJB? How right you are Scarlet. You're just like my pal, she loves a charity shop and trawls the knick knacks, she spots a bargain at 50 paces, whereas I, on the other hand can't see one if it bites me on the bum, but I do love the books RE: Freecycle and similar websites - Bren - 17-03-2023 I do love charity shops you never know what you need till you see it on the shelves. I recently came out from one clutching a WW2 brass shell casing OH, rolled his eyes but it looks amazing with flowers in. Nana had one of those, about 4" diameter and 18" tall RE: Freecycle and similar websites - Veggie - 17-03-2023 I took part in a Herb Tea swap. I gained 6 part used boxes of teabags and I gave a jar of Jasmine and green tea (too flowery for me) and a couple of different sorts of tea bags that I thought the recipient might like to try. Oddly, we both swapped the same "Sleep" teabags. RE: Freecycle and similar websites - Scarlet - 18-03-2023 (17-03-2023, 08:02 PM)JJB Wrote:Mine is a bit wider than that - I love it!
