At the moment they're £2.50, just been reduced from £4, Not sure what the original price was. They have other bits and pieces too - gloves, hand tools, labels, planters....... Never tried it before but, on your recommendation, I went and bought 6 boxes @ £2.50. I'll try using comfrey water when using it for fertilizer. RE: Special Offers - toomanytommytoes - 25-08-2023 Just been to my nearest Morrisons. They didn't have any coir, but arguably something better: 3 types of peat-free compost massively reduced. Surprised it's not been posted to HotUKDeals yet! All bags 40 L, a few pallets of each available. New Horizon £2.50 Levington £2.50 Miracle Gro £3 Absolute bargain! RE: Special Offers - Veggie - 25-08-2023 Which of those 3 composts is the best one to buy? In case I should happen to be over there soon. RE: Special Offers - toomanytommytoes - 25-08-2023 I hadn't tried Miracle Gro before so that's what I got, also because a Youtuber did a test of different composts and that was the best performing peat free and compared well to peat compost. It's fibrous of course, but nice and fluffy and I've not seen any plastic in it yet. It also has those slow release fertiliser balls in. The Levingtons I have used before and would use again if not for the bits of plastic from the green waste. New Horizon is a bit hit and miss but I've used it with OK results. Very fibrous and a bit weird looking and definitely needs extra fertiliser. Doesn't contain any green waste. My preference would be Miracle Gro -> Levingtons -> New Horizon. Here's the Youtube video which compares composts - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=udiPqYVrezs The Levingtons came last. RE: Special Offers - toomanytommytoes - 25-08-2023 Here's what the Miracle Gro looks like. RE: Special Offers - Veggie - 25-08-2023 Thanks, TMTT.. The Miracle Gro looks like "fluffy stuff" that I find a bit odd to handle. As if its been whipped up to make more volume. I'll watch the video now. EDIT - Video watched. His trial definitely points to Miracle-Gro. Interesting. RE: Special Offers - Mark_Riga - 27-08-2023 Back near Morrisons yesterday for the Nantwich farmers market and picked up a couple of bags of miracle grow compost. Might mix with the coir. RE: Special Offers - JJB - 08-09-2023 Suttons have free delivery on everything until midnight 10th September.
