RE: Freecycle and similar websites - Roitelet - 26-01-2023 I had an OUT yesterday, loads of Le Parfait preserving jars. There are still more to go! RE: Freecycle and similar websites - Veggie - 26-01-2023 IN today - another box of passed its date food - all dated in the last half of 2022. That's still fresh to me. The box was so heavy I couldn't lift it but had to repack it into carrier bags. Lots of jars of chutney, jam, pasta sauce, all sorts of squeezy bottle sauces, tins of beans, veg, the inevitable pasta in tomato sauce (the dogs like this!), fruit, evaporated milk and 2 packets of Thorntons Toffee Apple caramel, shortbread bites. Oddly, no tins of soup - this may be a first! Also swapped a load of books with this lady and dropped a box of books to Morries Charity book stall. That's an OUT by the way. EDIT - two bags of clothes also OUT tonight! RE: Freecycle and similar websites - Veggie - 28-01-2023 IN - I went to Church this morning - the tables were bare! Apparently, they were unable to collect any fruit and veg to give away and there was very little bread either. Came away with 2 Tiger Baguettes and a kilo of Sushi Rice. Picked up a bag of Ginger Tea later - haven't tried it yet but I love the taste of ginger. No OUTs. RE: Freecycle and similar websites - Veggie - 29-01-2023 IN today - 2 large sourdough loaves and 6 pastries & doughnuts. Also 6 herbs in pots - 4 Flat leaf parsley, 1 coriander and 1 Basil. All looking a bit squashed and very dry. I've given them a prune and a drink and they're in recovery in GH4. Also had 6 bagged of coriander which was only fit for the wormery. Hope Worms like coriander! RE: Freecycle and similar websites - Veggie - 30-01-2023 IN today - a motley assortment of food stuff. Two boxes of "Cappuccino" sachets, a box of porridge oats and a bag of unwanted items from Gousto meal boxes - like curry spices, flaked almonds, white wine vinegar, honey, chilli flakes, soy sauce, tomato paste and more that I can't remember. RE: Freecycle and similar websites - Veggie - 31-01-2023 IN today - some Cat food (don't tell the dogs) and a bag of books OUT went a Microfiche Viewer and 4 boxes of Genealogical Fiche, plus lots of related CDs and some books. I haven't done any family history research for years and its all on the Internet if I want to get back into it some time. Another load of clutter gone. RE: Freecycle and similar websites - JJB - 01-02-2023 Out went some books and a nearly OUT but not quite (it's out of the cupboard but not yet to the charity shop) is a filter coffee machine. I can't see us using it ever again. RE: Freecycle and similar websites - Veggie - 01-02-2023 I have a few INs and OUTs lined up for tomorrow but I'll reveal all then. Meanwhile, OUT went some sachets of Fajita spice and sauce mixes and some miscellaneous food items I've acquired but won't use. A late night IN of a loaf of bread, bag of carrots, Tuna pasta salad and 3 vegan wraps. that's tomorrow's meals sorted. RE: Freecycle and similar websites - Veggie - 02-02-2023 IN came a selection of green and jasmine teabags, including some from Tregothnan, Cornwall where there is a tea plantation. Also a bag of yellow tree peony seeds and some Cranberry seeds............and an unexpected hand crocheted shawl was left in my porch with instructions "If its no good, give it to the dog to sleep on!". OUT went a bag of bath bombs and melts that I've acquired and have no use for. Sent her a shawl I’d crocheted as a surprise. Luckily she liked it so it’s not being used as a dog bed |
