RE: The build - JJB - 20-09-2021 (18-09-2021, 07:05 PM)Small chilli Wrote: The final wall is up. It’s good to be back working on it. But we do have to earn money while we build. At least when you got back to where you started the final bit fit OK and there wasn't a 2" gap. That says something for yours and Bob's attention to detail and precise work. A pat on the back well deserved I think. RE: The build - Small chilli - 20-09-2021 The beginnings of a ceiling [attachment=3945] [attachment=3946] RE: The build - Veggie - 20-09-2021 Excellent. Thought you had your bed in there too (1st photo). RE: The build - Small chilli - 20-09-2021 (20-09-2021, 06:33 PM)Veggie Wrote: Excellent. Thought you had your bed in there too (1st photo). No that’s a scaffold tower. About as comfortable as my bed feels at the moment RE: The build - Scarlet - 20-09-2021 This may have been asked before.. is the building insulated? RE: The build - Small chilli - 21-09-2021 (20-09-2021, 10:52 PM)Scarlet Wrote: This may have been asked before.. is the building insulated?Yeah the whole thing is. As it’s a SIPs(structural insulated panels) kit. There will also be 150mm insulation going on the floor and an extra 25mm going on the inside of all external walls. RE: The build - Admin - 21-09-2021 Do you have an expected completion date SC? RE: The build - Small chilli - 21-09-2021 (21-09-2021, 08:53 AM)Admin Wrote: Do you have an expected completion date SC?Not really. We’re attempting to get it to something like wind & water tight before the really unpleasant weather sets in. Then things will slow down considerably and we’ll just plod on with it at a slower pace. Mostly on inside stuff until the weather improves. Realistically we’re probably looking at 2 maybe 3 years to completion. RE: The build - Small chilli - 21-09-2021 Bob & his brother fit most of the joists today. Still a few small ones around the loft hatch to do. I spent the day tidying up around the place. [attachment=3954] RE: The build - Jay - 21-09-2021 Wow, really starting to take shape SC, brilliant work!! |
