Yes pinch out, you can then root your snips to double up your plants.

Don’t know what I do wrong - but have never managed to root the cut off tips - either in compost or water.

You can do either. I saw it on Facebook this morning now is a good time to sow sweet peas in the greenhouse. For a good head start. I very nearly did some. I still might before the day is out.

My sweet peas didn't do very well this year so after reading SC's post I'm going to sow some this week.

What varieties SC and were they in pots or the ground. I'll have a rummage and sow some too and post what varieties.
