I went back onto a gardens forum for the first time in ages this year.
Still peopled by the same characters...

Had a religious discussion on the doorstep with 2 Jehovah's Witnesses. Haven't seen them around for years.

I've acquired several tins of potatoes which I will never use so thought I'd try roasting them in the halogen oven. Like this https://jamieoliverdishes.com/jamie-oliver-air-fryer-tinned-potatoes/
I didn't bother will all the fancy bits - just spuds, oil and some salt, once cooked.
They were OK, not quite as crispy, crunchy, fluffy in the middle, as proper roasties but it did make them usable - in fact I ate the whole tin of them lunchtime!

I wouldn't normally eat tinned potatoes either Veggie, but roasted in an air fryer, they're actually quite good!

Used crushed egg shells as a slug deterrent today. Never tried this before.

I’ve just completed an online CPR training course. Took 15 minutes. And I feel a lot more confident about it now. As I really didn’t have a clue before.

Commendable SC, you've prompted me to have a look at one too.  We have a defibrillator some 5-7 minutes run away, but as in many elderly households there's only two of us and no one spare to run and get the defibrillator in a heart emergency.

A 5-7 minute run would probably bring on another emergency situation!

You're right about that. It might be OK going, coming back would be impossible. 10 - 14 mins running under stressful conditions would floor either of us.
