Not sure how big they are. They're eating dandelions, you can see the flower stems and a few leaves. Bigger than 50p I would think.
She said that some are ready to go to new homes, but I don't know which ones. I think she's hoping that if there are UK bred tortoises available, it may stop the smuggling.

I've finally sold the last of over 200 tomato plants, which is double what I sold last year.

1. My Chiltern seeds order has been despatched.
2. Drawing faces on the political party leaflets that keep arriving. Its like regaining my childhood. Whenever I saw a photo in the newspaper I'd draw on it spectacles, a moustache/beard, a black tooth or two and so on. I'd forgotten I used to do that until I saw these leaflets. They all needed a little "enhancement".
3. I have a Fitness watch (FREE of course) that I've been wearing for 365 days. Apparently the calories that I've burned over the year equal about 77.5 chicken drumsticks! I can't remember the last time I ate a chicken drumstick, at least 30 years ago. Why don't they equate it to bars of chocolate or something else I can relate to?

I went on another Adventure this morning (picking up Freebies) so took Ted for a walk in the local park while I was there. We met some of the "inhabitants". They were quite friendly

I have not seen a ladybird all season. The blackfly are thriving as a result. Yesterday rubbing blackfly of young dahlia growth I saw a ladybird larva (only one) having his tea amongst a thick patch of blackfly. I left him to munch in peace. I'm glad there will hopefully one ladybird around somewhen.

RAIN!!! having had a dry July (40mm) and only 3mm this month, today we have had 22mm. Yippee!!!!
