Grow it alongside my other 2 . That a friend germinated in lockdown. Next year they’ll have their own bed in the tunnel. But the will have to share with my lemons, blood orange and pomegranate.
No idea how long they take to mature / fruit. Or if they even do in this country.

Its doing alright for an avocado baby that is still sitting on the windowsill wrapped in kitchen paper. In other words, I haven't done anything with it yet!The two plants in the GH are OK, having survived the winter.

They’re a lot tougher than you think they should be. One of mine spent the winter actually outside. And it did a little better the one I put in the caravan.

. Well 2 actually .1. How many avocado plants do we actually need?
2 Do you know how long before they are mature enough to fruit?

3. Will they actually fruit in this country ?

Ok so the short version. About 10 years to maturity. Still unlikely to fruit in the uk.

There are fruiting avocado trees in London - if they can do it, we can, SC.
Not sure I have room for another 10m tall tree. Having said that, I'm not sure I'll be doing much gardening in 15 years time.
